About the Speaker:
Dr. Mayson Sousa, PT, PhD, is an Assistant Professor at the University of Manitoba/Canada and a cardiopulmonary physical therapist specialized in respiratory physiology, mechanical ventilation, and ARDS. He trained at InCor, University of São Paulo, under Dr. Marcelo Amato, and earned his PhD in pulmonology in 2019. He later completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Toronto, working with Dr. Laurent Brochard on critical care and mechanical ventilation research.
